The Wurlitzer company was founded in 1853. They built a factory in Cincinnati OH in 1861 but didn’t start building pianos until 1880. By 2001 they had built almost 285,000 pianos. They have always specialized in making moderately priced instruments designed for home use, primarily for beginning and intermediate players.
The excellent Wurlitzer console we currently have for sale has been in the same family since it was originally purchased. It has never had a lot of use and has always been kind of a special family piece for the lady that is selling it. She is downsizing and wants to see it go to a special person or family that will appreciate it. This would be a great choice for someone just starting out or for someone looking to step up from a digital or a very old piano. Its great shape and sound should last indefinitely as long as it is taken care of.
